CCFP Administration

The CCFP Administration is responsible for overseeing the Canadian Certified Family Physician (CCFP) program, which is designed to train and certify family physicians in Canada.

The program is divided into two parts: the CCFP Certification Examination and the Mainpro+® Continuing Professional Development Program.

• The CCFP Certification Examination is a comprehensive exam that assesses a family physician's knowledge, skills, and clinical judgment in various areas of practice.
• The Mainpro+® Continuing Professional Development Program helps family physicians maintain and enhance their knowledge, skills, and competencies throughout their careers through ongoing learning opportunities.

In addition to these two components, the CCFP Administration also provides guidance and support to family physicians participating in the program, as well as to medical schools and residency programs that train family physicians.

Through its efforts, the CCFP Administration plays a critical role in ensuring that Canada has a robust and well-trained network of family physicians who can provide high-quality care to patients across the country.
